Judith van den Boom´s methods of research, design and projects are inspired by her approach as practical idealist. Her curiosity have brought her design/porcelain work on a variety of places and collaborations. For Judith design is a communicative process, gathering diverse minds, qualities and contexts to work towards new paradigm in material and mindsets. The relations between hand’s on material explorations, slow awareness, people and their qualities are fuel in her work in Europe and extensively in China. Since her studies in Product Design and her Master in Applied Arts at the Royal College of Art in London, she is often seen as a conversationalist due to the use and exploration of language in her process. Exploring her passion for design/art manifests also through her activities such as lecturing, board member in SlowLab (NY/NL), design tutorship at diverse academies and initiating collaborations based on new ways of working. Gunter Wehmeyer is an experienced urban designer / innovation strategist in sustainable work ways. Having a background in Landscape Urbanism and Urban Design he was working as senior urban designer & project manager in complex, dynamic and simultaneous XXL projects predominantly in China, Hong Kong, UAE and UK. His detailed focus on the big picture developed by working with various large international firms and driven his collaborative visions across diversity, inconsistency and ambiguity.Through his background as Dipl.Ing. Urban Design following with his executive MBA Sustainability Management / Collaboration Management in Germany, his strengths lies in the strategy of being different and creating shared values towards the hybridization of business and design. Gunter’s focus is on the research, meaning and implementations of initiating more sustainable ways of living, and develop, debate and co-design approaches that enables the locality to become its own creative force.
