In the year of 2004 an intensive work period with the Royal Delft Blue factory, the Porceleyne Fles in Delft resulted in a new body of work called Dutch Disturbance. This work was created as graduation collection at the Artez product design department. Working closely with the knowledge of traditional Delft Blue, the skilled workers and exploring the attics of the old factory was the start of experimenting concepts about the use and relationships we had in 2005 with Delft Blue. Dusty and rooted for most local people but highly interested cliches for the tourists. Do they still believe we wear wooden shoes ?Ideas about the nature of people where being assumed and turned in cliché’s that stayed around for generations.

Farm girls and Holy Cow are hand made series of hand decorated objects inspired by the Delft Blue moulds made at the Porceleyne Fles in Delft. We worked at the Porceleyne Fles to create the collection Dutch Disturbance that has been exhibited on various locations such as Amsterdam, Milan, Utrecht, Shanghai, Frankfurt, London and a solo exhibition in New York
